Save The Environment. Escape Work. And Take Flight.
Overworked And Underpaid – Music Shapes Our Business And Personal life Whether We Know It Or Not.
We don’t often realize how much music has become the soundtrack to our lives. As with anything, it’s sometimes lost in a popularity contest and technological advances through the internet… virtually giving anyone the ability to make and take music in the blink of an eye.
Unable to fully understand the healing effects it’s had on someone like you and I (both inside and outside of the workplace), it’s important to understand a world without music or creativity.
Keeping Sane In A Sometimes Insane World.
It’s easy, take away music and most people would go insane. How?
Just turn on the news and listen to how bad the unemployment rate is, or what’s supposedly going on with the new healthcare system. The future of the economy. Haiti. Tiger Woods. Sandra Bullock’s cheating husband. New Orleans. How we should prepare for the next natural disaster, whether the United States is starting to become a Socialist type of country and… it’s sometimes hard to stay positive.
I know.
It’s times like these that I love making and listening to the healing power music seems to have on us. Always refreshed and feeling more alive than if I didn’t listen to anything, it’s sometimes magical to see what happens when certain tunes take me to a healthier more relaxed place.
Taking Flight To Escape Work.
Much like you, some of the best things happen by accident.
Let go from God knows how many jobs… I released, “Fighting To Be Me” in 2006 as a way to release my anger I had with the constant bullshit people like us deal with in the working world today. Being forced to finance a new laptop because of the difficulty I’ve had with finding the employment I needed, I let it all hang out.
Birthing an entirely new sound, I started to teach myself keyboard (using it to create textured sounds and orchestra mixed tunes along with an old beat up Fender Telecaster). In short, things took flight. Later heard on numerous shows on Mtv and CMT… my new album “Flight,” is an extension of my last one – “Fighting To Be Me.”
As this music helped me to move forward with just about every aspect of my business and personal life, my hope is that it does the same for you.
(Unlike my other albums, this is the only place you’ll find it).
